Terms of Service
Understand your rights, responsibilities, and how Occaza works.
- Legal entity
- OCCAZA EVENTS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED
- Effective date

In short
The essentials before you read the full policy
- Occaza is a marketplace: vendors provide event services; we provide the platform, payments flow, and support tooling.
- Some flows charge Occaza’s booking request fee before a partner accepts your request; it is non-refundable, not credited toward the service total, and not paid to the vendor as service revenue.
- You must be 18 or older to create an account, pay, or make a binding booking.
- Each listing shows the vendor’s cancellation and refund rules for that service (in addition to these Terms and our platform Refund & Cancellation Policy).
- We may update these Terms; we will give reasonable notice where required. Continuing to use the Platform after changes may constitute acceptance, subject to law.
- Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection or other laws in India.
- For disputes, use our grievance channel first; unresolved matters may go to courts as described below.
- “Platform” — the Occaza websites, apps, and related services operated by Occaza.
- “Customer” / “you” — a person using the Platform to discover or book services.
- “Vendor” — a third party offering services through the Platform.
- “Booking” — a request or order for a service placed through the Platform.
- “Booking request fee” — a separate Occaza platform charge (plus applicable taxes, as shown before you pay) that may apply in request-and-accept flows. It is not the vendor’s service price, not credited toward the service total, and not remitted to the vendor as service revenue.
- “Confirmed booking” — a Booking for the underlying service where required service payment has succeeded and the Platform shows confirmation (or Occaza confirms by official communication). Paying only a booking request fee does not by itself create a Confirmed booking for the service.
- “Listing” — a vendor’s service page, including description, price, area, packages, and cancellation policy shown before checkout.
By using the Occaza Customer App or other Customer-facing parts of the Platform (“Customer App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Customer Terms”).
Occaza is an online marketplace that helps customers discover, compare, and book event-related services from third-party vendors (for example venues, decoration, catering, entertainment, photography, and related offerings). Occaza facilitates discovery, booking flow, payment processing, and support. The underlying services are provided by vendors, not by Occaza, unless we expressly say otherwise.
You may need an account. You are responsible for credential security, activity on your account, and keeping contact details accurate.
When booking, you must supply accurate details (for example event date and time, location and access, guest count, package choices, special requirements, and permissions where the venue requires them). Incorrect or incomplete information may affect delivery and refund eligibility.
Listings are created and managed by vendors. Occaza may review and approve services before they appear publicly, and may remove, restrict, or require changes to Listings that violate policy or law. Occaza works to keep the Platform reliable but does not guarantee every detail of every listing at all times. Vendors are responsible for accuracy, quality, category-appropriate fulfilment, and honouring Confirmed bookings.
For each Confirmed booking, the vendor’s selected cancellation policy and refund tiers shown on the Listing at checkout form part of your agreement for that transaction, together with these Customer Terms and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Prices may vary by area, date, guest count, inclusions, travel, demand, and taxes or fees. The payable amount shown at checkout (and any approved changes) prevails. Taxes (such as GST) will be presented as applicable at checkout or on documentation from Occaza or the vendor, in line with law.
Occaza platform fee on the service (and GST on that fee, where shown) is calculated as disclosed in the Customer App at checkout or in your booking summary—not as a secret add-on after confirmation.
Add-on quotes: After a Booking exists, a vendor may propose add-ons (additional scope or items). You may be charged only if you approve the quoted add-on and complete payment as shown. Add-ons may have separate GST and refund treatment as disclosed at payment; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Venue security deposits: Where a Listing includes a security deposit (for example for venue damage or loss), the amount, terms, and release are governed by the Listing, checkout disclosures, and the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Occaza may collect or facilitate such deposits as described in the app for that Booking.
A Confirmed booking for the service arises only when the service payment (and any other steps clearly shown in the app, such as partner acceptance where applicable) completes successfully and confirmation appears in the app or via official Occaza communication. Paying a booking request fee alone does not confirm the underlying service.
You agree to: allow safe, lawful access for service delivery; obtain venue permissions where needed; not mislead vendors; not abuse support; not harass vendor staff; pay valid charges; and comply with local laws, venue rules, safety requirements, and permits.
Changes after booking (time, date, guests, package, location) may require vendor approval, change price, affect availability, and affect cancellation/refund terms. Special requests are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed.
A vendor may cancel or propose rescheduling in limited cases (for example operational issues, force majeure, or legal/safety restrictions). Occaza may assist with refund, rebooking, alternatives, or credit in line with policy and law.
Your cancellation and refund outcomes depend on: service category; the Listing’s cancellation policy and tiers; time before the event; and whether customization, procurement, or setup has begun. Review both the Listing and our Refund & Cancellation Policy before paying.
Refunds may be full, partial, or nil as disclosed. Booking request fees, Occaza platform fees on the service (and GST on those fees, where applicable), payment processing costs, promotions, or other non-refundable components may be excluded where clearly disclosed. Processing follows the Refund & Cancellation Policy and payment partner timelines.
If a service is not delivered, is materially different, is delayed, defective, or unsafe, contact Occaza promptly with reasonable evidence. Occaza may investigate and facilitate resolution; outcomes depend on facts, proof, timing, and applicable policies.
Payment and some communications may be handled by third-party providers. You authorise Occaza to work with them to complete Bookings.
Platform branding, software, and content belong to Occaza or licensors. Do not copy, reverse engineer, or exploit them without permission.
Occaza acts as an online intermediary / marketplace. Listings, images, and reviews may be provided by users or vendors. If you believe content is unlawful or infringes rights, contact support@occaza.com with details. Occaza may remove or restrict content or accounts that violate law or these Terms.
Except where the law does not allow exclusion, Occaza provides the Platform as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, that every vendor will meet every expectation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Occaza’s liability for a claim arising from the Customer App is limited to the amount you paid Occaza for the specific Booking that gave rise to the claim (excluding indirect or consequential loss types the law allows us to limit).
You agree to indemnify Occaza against losses arising from your misuse of the Platform, unlawful event activity, false information, breach of these Customer Terms, or disputes caused by your conduct—as permitted by law.
Neither Occaza nor vendors are liable for failure or delay due to events beyond reasonable control (for example severe weather, government action, strikes, outages, emergencies).
We may modify these Customer Terms. We will provide notice through the Platform (and email or SMS where appropriate). Material changes may require renewed acceptance in the app. If you do not agree, you must stop using transactional features. Non-material changes may take effect on the stated date.
Grievance officer (customer): support@occaza.com — please include your registered phone or email, booking ID (if any), and a short description. We aim to acknowledge grievances within a reasonable period and respond in line with applicable law.
If a dispute is not resolved through this channel, courts at Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Uttar Pradesh, India shall have jurisdiction, subject to non-excludable rights you may have to pursue remedies elsewhere under law.
These Customer Terms are governed by the laws of India.
